Genre/type of photography.#39

It would be interesting to be able to search by type of photography (landscape, portrait, street). Could pick the genre from a drop down where the exif data is. :)

This may be too subjective to define into a fixed list. Case in point, most of what I consider to be “urban street photography” is also “landscape”. Likewise, a photo of my dog is a portrait. Does everyone think of their images this way? Probably not. Perhaps this would be better handled using tags rather than fixed categories?

I agree with this. I don’t want Glass to end up like instagram with hashtags. I would even say that tags could end up with the same result but at least a couple of words for genre or types of photos would be really useful to find new photographers
