Another interaction other than comment#153

?

I’d like to show support to the artist without needing to write a comment about their shot

I’m tempted to disagree with this. Likes and emoji reactions are a huge problem in social media. If there is an option to leave any reaction emojis, they should be only visible to you, certainly not counted.

I applaud not including “likes”

The strength and core of a “visual conversation” despite it being primarily about the elements and beauty of photo, is thoughtful feedback.

It can be simple or in depth if someone is moved enough.

I’d rather have one inciteful, genuine, comment than a thousand “likes”.

Yup. Well said. We are so accustomed to quickly accumulating hundreds of peoples likes, that it feels weird to post into the abyss once again, and wait for a couple folks to comment. But that’s OK. That’s GOOD. We just need to reprogram ourselves, away from quick dopamine hits, and back to meaningful interactions. Like a photo? Tell the person with real words. Challenge yourself to explain why you like it. You might even build a connection and make a friend!
