Better Search#104

Would love for user bios or photo captions to be searchable.

For me, the thing that’s really missing from search is that I wish search would bring up my own images first in the results, then other people’s. And results could be grouped by matches on tags, titles, names, descriptions, etc. And AI search data too of course.

Adding to shacker’s comments, it would be great if we could search our own content and sort the results by posted date, date taken, etc. As my own feed grows, it’s hard to keep track of photos that I’ve already uploaded and being able to search/sort my own feed would be super helpful!

I also do hope for search capabilities that helps me organizing my own images, i.e. “show me all MY images with tag X”, optional combined with “in series Y”. Or: “show all my images NOT in any of my series”.

One thing i wish was possible was when choosing more tags that will limit what i see to for example only -portraits- that are -black and white-, etc. as well as limit to camera and lens as well if i want to se wildlife taken with an R7 with RF 100-400mm.

I did a search for “Cabo de Gata” and got seemingly random results from around the world. Including some of my own photos, which were not from that location. I tried other non-location searches, which were equally bad. Could we have an opt-in option for embedded metadata (GPS, Keywords, description, etc) to be used for search?
